Featuring Doug Gail of Gail Construction!

Q: How long have you been in business?

A: “Gail Construction has been in business since 1905. Started by my great grandfather and passed down to my grandfather and father. Dave Ballinger and I took over ownership of the company in 2001 when my dad passed. Jim Talich and I have owned the company since 2011.”

Q: How long have you lived in the Basin?

A: “I have lived in Cody for about 30 years. Grew up here, graduated from the University of Wyoming, moved away for various jobs, and moved back in 2011.”

Q: What’s the most important thing for a potential customer to know when considering a custom home builder?

A: “I think trust is the most important thing. Trust that your custom builder has the capacity to complete the project. Trust that the custom builder can bring the very best subcontractors and vendors to the project. Trust that your custom builder’s estimate are realistic – not just what the customer wants to hear. Trust that the end product is going to be of the highest quality. Custom homes can take a year or longer to complete and it is important to have a solid relationship with your builder – and relationships are built upon trust.”
